I learned so much during this class including a new technique for making guacamole, tomatillo salsa, 4 embroidery stitches, and 3 detailing techniques. Robin was a fantastic instructor! She's clearly very passionate about embroidery and her enthusiasm radiated throughout the class. We got a solid start on our apron designs and left with all the too... + more

Lessons with Robin are always such a pleasure --it's like spending the afternoon with a good friend who just happens to be amazingly talented! In this class, I was able to make several beautiful fabric flowers to take home, and learned all I needed to know to go home and make more. I would absolutely recommend this class!

This class was fantastic! The teacher has a ton of experience. She is very patient and clearly loves what she does. We were novices at crafting like this, but by the end we had five or six beautiful denim flowers. She is also a lovely person to spend a few hours with. I'd give more stars if I could.

Robin is wonderful! She's an excellent teacher, host, and fascinating person! I especially appreciated the take - home kit I received. I loved her relaxed, hands-on approach and hearing about her transition from the fashion industry. 100% plan to take another of her classes.

Robin is an excellent teacher and super friendly person. We were a group of 3. Each one did something very different and we all enjoyed. One took old sweaters and stitched and sewed onto them. One gave her denim a facelift and the other stitched the kit bag. We all loved that we could be as creative as we wanted and Robin helped each of us create w... + more

I brought my aunt to this class for her 71st birthday as she likes arts and crafts — Robin was so lovely, informative, patient and generous. My aunt & I both really enjoyed ourselves and plan on returning for future classes. 10/10, would recommend!

I really loved this experience! Robin made us feel at home and had some true expertise in not just sashiko, but hand stitching broadly. I cant wait to schedule another session in the future ^^

I visited NYC and booked the Denim Upcycling course. Robin is a fantastic host and the atmosphere was very welcoming. It helps if you bring your own project and let the creativity spark. A lot of different techniques, history and inspiration was discussed before we started the actual work. The kit, the we booked with the course, helps me to finish ... + more

Having been to many different crafting classes in NYC now, this one is honestly such a great value - you get to learn so many different ways of dyeing + basic embroidery in three hours, and the process of seeing natural botanical ingredients turning into colors and patterns is so satisfying. Robin is so nice and welcoming and knowledgeable. Would d... + more

As someone with relatively little expression of creativity my entire life, this class helped me discover my passion for art and also taught me so much about how to actually create art. It'll be messy, painful, imperfect, but making something with your bare hands has far more value than just the thing you created. It was a joy to meet other folks of... + more
